Jaron Smith » Bio


Mr Jaron Smith is the new music teacher at Black Fox Elementary for the 2021-22 school year. A native of Georgia, Mr Smith spent his grade school years in Habersham County, GA before deciding in 2008 to pursue a career in music by studying at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. After completing his undergraduate and Master's degrees in Music and Music Education and marrying his wife, Kelsey, Mr Smith began teaching high school band at Ranburne High School in Ranburne, Alabama. This was followed by a move to Seattle, Washington, where he completed a certification in Audio Engineering at the University of Washington. Mr Smith and his wife have since moved back to Chattanooga, Tennessee where they enjoy making and recording music together. Mr Smith enjoys playing his two favorite instruments, the euphonium and guitar, in his spare time and is very excited to have the opportunity to help all Black Fox students find their own love of music!
